From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vang_stavkirke Vang Stave Church ( Polish Kościół Górski Naszego Zbawiciela ("Our Savior's Mountain Church"), also known as iwiątynia Wang ("Vang Temple") or Kościół Wang ("Vang Church"), German Church Wang ) is a reconstruction of the recycling of materials from it old stave church from Vang in Valdres . It stands today in Karpacz in Karkonosze , which is part of the Silesia landscape in Poland . The place where the stave church originally stood is marked with a small slate of stone in the cemetery, right next to the stairs to the new parish church . This is also the place where the famous Vangsteinen ( rune stone ) from the 1000s originally stood. The church was erected in the 12th and 13th centuries , and later moved to and rebuilt in the province of Silesia in the Kingdom of Prussia in 1842 . Vang Church is still in daily use by the site's Lutheran congregation, and it has become an important tourist attraction for the area.
