The Sulitjelma mining museum is located in the first industrial area that was established when mining began. Here you will find the old copper smelting hut (1899), and the first power station (1893).
Exhibitions
The mining museum has its own unique exhibition of minerals from the mines in Sulitjelma. Other exhibitions are about everything from sporting life to mine mapping, the labor movement and transport history. At the museum, you can look through several hundred photos from the site's mining history.
