This is the largest burial ground from pre-Christian times in Sirdal.
Originally, the field consisted of more than 20 burial mounds, and finds from the tombs indicate that it has been in use from the migration period (about 400-600 AD) and onwards to the younger Iron Age (about 600-1000 AD).
