Right along the longest stretch of iconic Route 66 that Arizona calls its own, lays John Osterman's Gas Station. Recently placed on National Register of Historic Places, the preserved gas station is located next to the Hualapai Cultural Center and Lodge. Built in 1929, the gas station was in service until the early 80s when Interstate 40 was completed and allowed drivers to bypass Peach Springs completely. The Hualapai tribe plans to reestablish service here, bringing a gas station back to the small town.

Stopped by here and got some pictures then headed over to the Hualapai Cultural Center and Lodge. Hope they get it restored and running again.
