Lista Nature Museum was opened in the summer of 2002. The main purpose of this museum is to show the nature of this area and especially the rich bird life.

The museum also have exhibitions about sealife near the shores and shows the changes of the landscape from the ice age until present. The bird life at Lista is great in numbers as well as species, actually this is the community in Norway where the highest number of bird species have been registrated.
