From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%B8re_stavkirke Høre stave church ( Hurum stave church ) is a stave church dating from 1180, in the village of Høre furthest east in Vang municipality in Oppland . Parts of the church are dendrochronologically dated by NIKU for the winter of 1178-1179, which corresponds to a rune inscription in the roof, which indicates the battle of the Calfskin on June 19, 1179, where King Sverre and the birch bones won over Erling Skakke and the bagels .
