The church is first mentioned in written sources in 1327 , while year-old dating of the timber used in the church indicates that the church dates from 1216 . The entrance hall to the church room from the porch consists of a two-storey high-cut relief in wood with ornaments. Inside the church is inscribed on one of the columns in runes.
