From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flesberg_stavkirke Flesberg Stave Church is a stave church from the latter half of the 12th century or the first half of the 13th century in the municipality of Flesberg in Buskerud . It is in use as a regular parish church. The church was originally a long church with rectangular vessels and narrower choirs, both with raised middle rooms, of the same type as the Borgund stave church and the stave churches in Valdres. A painting from 1701 shows the church before the conversion. [1] Written sources mention the church for the first time in 1359 , but it was probably built earlier. After rebuilding in 1735, the church was crucified. The western cross arm is the original old stake church, and above it sits the roof rider on this cross arm.
