From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%A5vang_kirke Fåvang church is a cross church on Fåvang in Gudbrandsdalen, Ringebu municipality. The church was built in the 17th century in half-timbered houses, among other materials from stave churches, in the same way as Vågå church and Hol old church. It is sometimes referred to as a stave church , but is not considered a real stave church even though parts of the structure are of stave work . It was built after the Reformation , mostly from materials from previously demolished stave churches in the valley. The oldest parts date back to around 1150–1250. The building is protected. In the church, Christian VII's monogram is carved into a cross-border decoration by Kristen Erlandsen Listad - "the flower master from Ringebu".
