Over 700 years of Dutch History in one place, or better saying, in one castle. The Muiden Castle is by far the most gorgeous medieval castle in the Netherlands. Only 15km away from Amsterdam, this castle offered protection to the city on the Eastern front. Today, this UNESCO Heritage Site entertains tourists of all ages. The castle’s interior was restored and the new 17th-century decoration gives the Muiden Castle an imposing medieval look. Especially because of the interesting collection of weapons and armor. As a very traditional castle, Muiden Castle (Muiderslot in Dutch) is surrounded by water and you can reach it in the old-time style, by boat. PS: If you visit the Netherlands in the spring, I’m sure you will fall in love with their neatly cared gardens.
