Of the seven Jewish catacombs concealed beneath Rome, these are one of two open to the public. They were fully developed during the 3rd and 4th centuries and hold thousands of different burial sites. You’ll see tombs carved into volcanic stone and decorations showing flowers, animals, and religious icons like the Ark of the Covenant and the seven-branch candelabrum.
