Lurking five stories below the marvelous Saint Peter’s Basilica, which itself is a massive architectural wonder, you’ll find a multi-level labyrinth stacked with Pagan and Christian ruins dating back to the foundation of the Roman Empire. One level houses a small earthen mound with a hole dug out of it that’s said to contain the bones of Saint Peter himself.
