The Ringedals Dam is a gravitational dam that dams the Ringedalsvatnet by Tyssedal in the municipality of Odda in Hordaland. The dam was built in several stages in the years 1909-1918 in connection with the development of the Tyssedal power p. The pond is decorated with a crown of dams modeled on a medieval castle.
When the dam was completed in 1918, it was one of Europe's largest gravity dams with a storage capacity of 222 million m³. The dam was bleached on both sides with a total of around 20000 m² of hand-carved granite, and is Norway's largest of its kind. The pond is decorated with a crown of dams modeled on a medieval castle.
