First part of our castle adventure

Plan for this trip

Today we plan on visiting 3 castles, Drum, Crathes & Dunnotar. Due to the amount of images taken at these places we will split them up to 3 sections. This one is for the start of the day and our trip from the Hotel to Drums Castle.

Drums Castle

Morning walk

Started the day with walk around Union Street with a stop at Greggs to try their breakfast, was not bad.

Arrival at Drum Castle

Arrived at the castle in good time, wandered around a bit until they opened. Booked a guided tour, which is the only option to view the insides.

Inside the Drum Castle

Got a good guide with plenty of info about the castle and the people that have lived in it. Anna Forbes Irvine got my attention, she was an awesome artist and would like to get a hold of some of them. You will see on some of the last images. Well worth the walkthrough.

Drum Castle Chapel

After the inside we walked over to the Chapel. There was a cemetery for the latest people that had lived and for their pets. Cute.

More pictures from the outside of the castle. After this we drove to Crathes Castle for our next visit.
