Location: Badwater Road - 30 minutes (18mi / 29 km) south of Furnace Creek. Primitive restroom at parking lot. Large parking area can accommodate buses and large RV's.

The lowest point in North America is a surreal landscsape of vast salt flats. The basin sits 282 feet (86 m) below sea level where a temporary lake may form after heavy rainstorms. Avoid walking out on the flats during hot weather. The boardwalk is ADA accessible.

Very cool, was a nice walk along the salt flats. Took about a half hour to get to the end and another half hour back.
Just remember to take some water with you and wear a hat or some kind of sun protection as it gets very hot.
