Haunt #1 - Ghost Haunting, Girl in White
The ghost of a young woman dressed in white is seen wandering around Hiornes tower on moonlit nights (the tower located behind the castle in Arundel Park designed in the 18th century by the architect Francis Hiorne). It is thought that the young woman committed suicide, throwing herself from the tower after the loss of her true love. She appears on moonlit nights and often seen by the groundkeepers.
Haunt #2 - Omen, Small White Bird
A ghostly small white bird is seen fluttering around the windows of the castle before the death of a resident of the castle and its appearance is regarded as an omen that tragedy will strike someone connected to the castle.
Haunt #3 - Poltergeist, Poltergeist

Arundel Castle is my favorite castle in the UK, and it lies on the south coast of England in the county of Sussex.

Its history goes back a thousand years and this is reflected in its architecture. The ancient keep and battlements are the oldest area of the castle and lie partly in ruins; but the rest of the castle is a magnificent stately home, complete with an enormous hall full of treasures.

Some of the rooms are set out as miniature museums showing what life was like in medieval times and also during the civil war. Arundel Castle has belonged to the same family for hundreds of years, and they still live there today.

The gardens are equally as impressive especially in the springtime during the annual tulip festival, when thousands of bulbs bloom at once. The gardens are filled with water features including a crown that appears to float on a fountain.

In short, Arundel Castle is unmissable inside and out and is worth making the effort to get to! By Emily Cole from Kids and Compass -
