Day 2: Leaving Arendal and heading north.
We kicked off the morning taking care of the pets before treating ourselves to the hotel’s incredible breakfast buffet.
Afterward, we took the boys for a long, scenic walk down to the beach and festival area, where we even caught a glimpse of a live bicycle race.
Once we got back to the RV, we packed up and kicked off our journey north toward Tønsberg.
We even started our very first IRL stream to show our viewers the beautiful landscape rolling by. Everything was going perfectly smooth—until about an hour in, when our right rear tire suddenly exploded.
We pulled over immediately to assess the damage and contacted our insurance company, who arranged for a tow truck. Luckily, they arrived in about half an hour and towed us back to their station. Because it was a Saturday, though, they won’t be able to source a replacement tire until Monday, leaving us temporarily stranded.
On the bright side, the staff here have been incredibly kind and hooked us up with electricity. We also have a gas station right across the street for restrooms and basic supplies. Even better? There was a record store nearby! It only had a couple of hours left before closing, so I popped in and managed to score some awesome vintage vinyl. Afterward, we hopped on a local bus into the nearest town to stock up on groceries for the next two days. It wasn’t the adventure we planned, but we’re making the most of it!
At the towing yard
Not much to say about our recent camping setup. The campsite itself was actually free, but the trip turned out to be a pretty pricey event anyway. We had to leave a 750 NOK deposit on the pickup, and a whopping 6500 NOK for a pair of new tires! On the bright side, at least we’re set with fresh rubber for the rest of the road trip

Day #3
Day three was a pretty low-key affair. We didn’t do much other than take a few walks around the area and make frequent trips across the street to the gas station for restroom breaks and quick snacks.
During one of our walks, we wandered up to an unmanned roadside second-hand booth—one of those charming self-service spots you see around here. Afterward, we decided to hop on a local bus to save our legs some trouble on the way back to the RV. Ironically, we managed to completely miss our stop and ended up having to walk the exact same distance back anyway!
