Day 1: The Summer Road Trip Begins
Our highly anticipated summer holiday is officially underway! At 14:00, we loaded up the RV with our three dogs and one cat and set off to explore Norway.
Our first major milestone was a stop at the weighing station. It turns out we are cutting it incredibly close to our maximum weight limit! However, staying fully stocked on water, fuel, and supplies for both us and our four furry companions makes it entirely worth it.
After a smooth drive and a quick bite to eat just before Mandal, we reached our final destination for the evening around 19:00. Everyone is settled in and excited for day two!

Evening Update: Settling in at Arendal
Upon arriving at Arendal Herregård, we got our parking instructions and set up camp. Once the RV was ready, we fed the pets and took them out for an early evening stroll. The area was buzzing, and we quickly discovered why—the Hove Rock music festival is currently in full swing just down the road!
After giving the dogs and cat their exercise, we headed into the main Herregård building to cap off our travel day. We spent a wonderful evening relaxing in the spa, taking full advantage of the awesome infinity pool, jacuzzi, steam bath, and sauna.
Once we were thoroughly relaxed, we took the fur-kids out for their final walk of the night, catching the sounds of the festival’s closing band. We’ve now turned in for the night and are heading to bed in the RV, excited for the rest of our journey.
