The Maiden Voyage
Here are some photos from the first trip in our “new” RV—the first of many adventures to come!
The Pickup
The journey began on Skjærtorsdag in Drammen. It was a classic Norwegian spring evening: a mix of snow and rain that made the hand-over feel like a true adventure right from the start. After getting the keys, I headed south and found a spot at Horten harbour to spend my very first night in the rig.
A Morning Among Giants
I was up early the next morning and reached Midgard by 7:00 AM. Since it was so early, the museum and burial mounds were naturally closed, but there was a certain magic to having the place to myself. The silence of the mounds at that hour provided plenty of opportunities to capture the landscape and the history of the area.
Homebound
From Midgard, I made the short drive to Åsgårstrand to share breakfast and coffee with my uncle. It was the perfect way to wrap up the maiden voyage before the final leg of the drive home.
The RV performed great, and I’m already looking forward to the next time we head out.
